Customer Reviews
VERY good product!
I really like this product. I use it for dishes and as hand soap at the kitchen sink. Ecover cleans dishes noticeably better than Dawn original (i.e. Blue). Example: Drink a smoothie, let the glass sit for an hour, and you have a mess that requires a lot of scrubbing with Dawn. With Ecover, minimal scrubbing is required. I thought I was making this up but I've experimented several times now -- It definitely cleans faster and easier. It has a very subtle natural fragrance which is much appreciated compared with the obnoxious smell of Dawn. Highly recommended!
Like the product, but why the tiny bottles?
This stuff is sold retail in 32oz bottles. I can see no apparent reason why Amazon [Prime] only offers cases of the 16oz size -- it seems to me that a consumer who wants to buy cases is going to want to minimize hassle and waste by going with the larger size.
Green or great health hazards???
I bought a 32 oz bottle from local Whole Foods Market. There are no ingredients listed on the product, so I checked Ecover's website. I was totally shocked: how can one claim this is a healthy product when the 2nd ingredient (only next to water) is Sodium Laureth Sulfate and it also contains 2-BROMO-2-NITROPROPANE-1,3-DIOL?
If you are not familiar with the above two ingredients, just google them yourself.
Here is the list of all ingredients on Ecover's website:
Aqua Sodium Laureth Sulfate Lauryl Polyglucose Sodium Chloride Whey Citric Acid Parfum Limonene 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol Calendula Officinalis Extract Chamomilla Recutita Extract
