Founded in 1968, Donghia is an internationally recognized leader in high-end textiles, furniture, and accessories. Clients range from Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, and Jennifer Lopez to the Four Seasons Hotels and Neiman Marcus. Known for designs that balance classic and contemporary, East and West, and luxury and comfort, the award-winning Donghia studio has come to symbolize sensual, unstudied elegance. With showrooms in 40 countries, the Donghia design philosophy is simple: make people look good and feel good in their environments.
Donghia reveals how you can achieve the Donghia aesthetic--clean lines, pure colors, and rich textures--in your home. Sherri Donghia discusses how to create a strong skeletal structure for each room that can then be dressed in various ways to enliven and personalize it, using sumptuous textured fabrics, rich woods, delicate glass, and luminous metals.

Customer Reviews
A Miss
I was so looking forward to receiving this book and was so disappointed by it. The book is just a series of pictures which do not inspire and are somewhat pointless to the person looking for ideas.
There are so many other books which are so much better, spend your money on those.
Self congratulatory
I had expected much more and less self congratulatory dribble. Yes Sherri is talented but where was the mention of design legend John Hutton who was diretor of design for Donghia for 18 years? John's contributions to Donghia and the world of design far outweigh that of Sherri's and at least deserved a mention. Even Jennifer Hutton who took over after her Uncles departure and led the design team for several years wasnt even cited !. Great pictures but whose work was it really? Give credit to others and you will make yourself larger in the process.
A Disappointing, Poorly Designed Book
I was truly looking forward to this book after ordering it because I am a huge fan of this company's wonderful contemporary, yet soulful furniture and textiles. What a disappointment. I expected a well produced, polished book, but from the tacky color printed textbook-like cover to the poorly designed layouts and the all too brief, ho-hum text, the book was a major disappointment. Yes, there are some wise and well thought out personal design principles collected here, but the text seemed hastily written and the package has none of the sophistication you would expect from a designer of this stature. Donghia deserves a better produced book than this one. Maybe next time.
