Aden and Anais make the best swaddle blankets- hands down. This winter warmth version has double the fabric for winter. Get a total of 4 blankets.

Pampers Swaddlers are the best diapers but babies don't stay in newborn size very long. Still, you will probably at least use 84 of them unless you have a large baby.

Get this in fleece for winter, or cotton for summer. Our baby started sleeping in them instead of being swaddle blanket near 3 months of age... I sure this depends on the baby but when they stop needing to be swaddled, these are the answer.

Snap up rompers are great because they last longer than "footie" rompers which baby will outgrown more quickly You will appreciate these in sizes 0-3 months and 3-6 months.

A bouncer and a swing both can come in handy for a baby, though I recommend buying these through a local store: that way if it breaks 3 months down the road (let's face it, some of this stuff is cheaply made) you can get a store credit without dealing with shipping.)

Some lullaby music is nice to have on hand.

The Synergy is good because it combines their light weight version and back support version. Another carrier like Ergo or Beco will be good when baby is much heavier but a bjorn is worth the purchase for the early months.
