The bulbs are covered w/ large vinyl chilis, so the light is diffuse and warm. Great for parties, hanging off the deck or near a bar. Bulbs are your standard Xmas type, and easy to replace. Seems like a safe product as well, I am not concerned w/ them on overnight. Indoor and outdoor use, made in China.
