fantastic for opening twist off jars
My stepmom had one in her home when I went to visit - it was so great I had to run out and get one! Basically the item works kind of like the old metal hand held bottle openers. It has a lip which you place under the edge of the twist off top. You then lift the handle very slightly and hear the vacuum seal on the jar pop and release. Then you can open the jar with ease - as if it were an already opened jar. A great invention, I keep them on hand as stocking stuffers for friends.

Doesn't work on all jars...
I was very excited to order this product. I am so tired of not being able to open jar lids without banging on them with a knife or asking my husband (and I am only in my mid-40s!).

But the first opportunity I had to use it it didn't work! It was a jar of Classico pasta sauce. Apparently if there is a lip on the jar under the lid, the JarPop can't get up under the lid and therefore "pop" it. I tried a dozen times but realized it just wasn't going to work on this jar, so beware.

I am optimistic that it will work on other jars but have yet to try it.

"It really works"
It takes no effort to open sealed lids on jars. You just lift the handle and it pops the seal and then you just turn the lid with no effort.It works so well that I am now giving it as gifts to other people.
