A totally awesome book
I have breastfed two children, then I had a baby with major problems breastfeeding. After I started reading this book, some of my confidence came back. Dr. Newman and Teresa Pittman address many problems and solutions, that most breastfeeding books do not touch. One of my favorite breastfeeding sourcebooks. I am hoping that this will help to have read this book, that my next baby will do better, God Willing.
Great breast feeding reference, anything by Dr. Newman is great!
I'm also a certified lactation educator and this book is excellent! I have this and a mutitude of other breastfeeding books on my shelf and I refer to this one often. Essentially anything written by Dr. Newman is right on and great. I also recommend the following for new moms:
The Baby Book: Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby from Birth to Age Two (Revised and Updated Edition) - great reference for EVERYTHING.
The Nursing Mother's Companion: Revised Edition - this was a great reference for me personally while breastfeeding.
Artificial baby milk cannot compare to the benefits of real breast milk for babies. These are great books to help you get a good start on the path of breastfeeding (and will likely be continually referenced during the duration of your breastfeeding time of life with your baby/toddler)
