Customer Reviews

Terrible!1
The two inside foam layers (the firm foam and the memory foam) have a VERY strong chemical smell. We thought we could wash it out or air it out, but no such luck. After trying to clean it for over a week now, we will just throw it out unused. I can't imagine subjecting a baby to this smell for hours while it sleeps. This is a very poorly constructed product and possibly an airway irritant!

not sturdy difficult to clean2
the flimsy velcro on one side comes off real easily. Unlike another positioner I bought that strips off the cover and washes nicely, this one has an inner two layer foam that shifts when you remove the cover. When putting it back together the shape gets misformed and then bunches up. I think you should look for a more sturdy postioner than this one.

A few flaws, but my daughter loves it!4
First the best part of this:
My 11 week old daughter, who is extremely picky of what she sleeps on and usually ends up sleeping on my chest, is comfortable on this! You have no idea how long we have been searching and trying different things to get her to at least lay down without being held, in her bouncer, on her playmat, or in a swing for a few minutes without screaming! We have tried many sleep positioners and this one gets her vote, therefore, it gets ours right off the bat!

Another thing I like:
Memory foam! Love that it should help prevent any flat spots on your baby's head. The best part about the memory foam is that it's sturdy compared to some other positioners that are just a piece of fabric - nothing wrong with that, but it's a little harder to adjust it when your hands are full of sleeping baby and you'd like it to stay that way! So the fact that this one won't get bunched up like normal fabric is like a breath of fresh air for me.

Another good:
Machine washable! The liner on the positioner is machine washable and also seems to have a nice barrier between the fabric and foam so messes shouldn't leak through. The wedges are also machine washable. Great for my baby that is known for projectile vomiting!

The flaws:
I was disappointed that one of the wedges is sewn on. (But also a good thing, read on.)
The other one has just a tiny piece of velcro in the middle so it's not very stable.

As for the other reviewers complaining that their baby slid down:
That will happen with any inclined sleep positioner - trust me, I've tried them all! If your baby is wiggling down, then an inclined positioner probably isn't the best option for your baby and you may want to just try the old 2 X 4 under one side of the crib so the whole crib is gently inclined instead of a steep incline on a flat surface. Then get a flat positioner. With this specific positioner, I agree that you have to position the baby just right in order for them not to slide down (my baby does slide down) - for that, a longer piece of velcro should do the trick!

I gave this 4 stars because my daughter loves it so much and the flaws I found are easily fixable if you're a little handy. I plan on sewing a long strip of velcro on the removable wedge. I may also take off the sewn on wedge and put velcro on that since my daughter also likes to sleep on her side and it would be nice to be able to switch sides, however, I'm not so sure I will since it should help immensely with correct positioning by being sewn on. (I think that was the idea behind it.)

Overall, I think it's worth the $20 already and I've only had it for 6 hours. She's already taken a nap on it earlier today and she's been laying on the positioner for about an hour now, wide awake, and VERY CONTENT! Giving me this time to rest my aching arms and shoulders!!

I'M SOLD!
