Product Description

Why a Pooch Party? People have always gathered together to celebrate special occasions. Parties give an opportunity to have good times and create fun memories. In fact, parties are an essential part of family life. Whether it is simple or elaborate, for many or a few, whatever the occasion, these parties become part of your family traditions. Writing this book forced me to evaluate why I included my dog in all of my celebrations as well as my accomplishments and major milestones. I realized that my dog was part of my family and I wanted to include him in my traditions as well as create rituals to show my love. Family traditions celebrate the special events in our lives including holidays and special accomplishments. These are opportunities to have "good times" and create fun memories.

About the Author
Hi, my name is Patricia Griecci and I work for my dog Spike. Spike bakes the best all natural dog cookies, treats and cakes that offer pet parents a healthy way to show their love for their "kids with tails". Dogs were not a part of my life as I was growing up, I was a cat person. Everything changed on day when I was visiting a local animal shelter. I never like to visit a shelter as I feel so helpless looking at the adorable pets wanting to share their love and affection. I want to take them all home. That morning, I walked past many dogs, some jumping up to greet me, just asking for attention and love. Some were just sitting in the confinement of their crate and just looking sad and wondering what they did wrong to be here. One dog, called Spike, a one year old German Sheppard, and Collie mix was just sitting and did not make any movement to me. I inquired about Spike, and was told he was given up for adoption because he ate too much and the family could not afford him. Spike was a black and brown dog with a lot of love in his eyes. I asked to view Spike and was taken to the waiting room and anxiously waited meeting this lovely one year old dog. After waiting a few minutes, the door opened and in came spike. The first thing he did was jump up on the bench, where I was seated and kissed my face. He was so happy to be out of his confinement that he looked at me and said "let's, go home." Once I saw his eyes, filled with love and questions, I had to adopt him. That was the moment that changed my life forever.
