From the Manufacturer
This award-winning bicycle is the ideal first step into the biking world. The classic chrome and steel design is extremely durable and stylish. Spoked wheels and rubber tires and training wheels make this bike ready for any terrain. Training wheels and no brakes make this bike simple and easy to ride. The padded seat is adjustable, so this bicycle can grow with your child. Best of all, there is a small chrome bicycle bell on the handle bar.

An excellent value!
My 3 yr old boy just received this for his b-day. I was a little concerned re: it's size being to small (short use span) for him, but I do not believe that this will be the case at all. I also have a 4 yr old boy which rides this bike comfortably. The bike is rock solid (it is fairly heavy) and the quality seems well above average. Despite the bike being only a 10" model, I think it will suit the average 2 1/2 - 5 yr old fine. There is ample room to elevate both the seat and handle bars. The solid rubber tires and solid rubber training wheels (the latter both have contact with the ground at all times along with the rear wheel--no tippy wobbles!) provide a smooth and quiet glide. The bell has that fun classic ring! The seat has nice padding. The bike has a good bikechain/pantleg guard. There is NO BRAKING function on this model. I think that this bike would be a good alternative to buying both a tricycle and a small two-wheeler like this. I wish I had realized this before already buying two tricycles! For those of you contemplating a tricycle still, the Kiddio Supertrike 4 can not be beat-the quality is outstanding! (I wrote a review for that trike on June 20, 2002.)
This bike is BEAUTIFUL!
If you know from experience with the tricycle that the first bike is constantly going to be left in sight, this is the bike for you! It is gorgeous! Left in the hall, it looks like a piece of retro installation art, but once it hits the sidewalk, VROOOOM! The only concern I have is the weight; my son (just turned three) seems to have to work harder to go uphill than his friends, but hey, he'll end up with cuter legs. He loves the bell, and gets excited if the neighbor's cat is in his way so he can ring it - poor cat. A great bike if you want to have a bike to hand-me-down to subsequent children without having to worry about gender, too. Although I bought this for my son, I would just as easily have puchased it for a girl - it's just a classic!
Great Bike!
This is a great bike for a little one. My son just turned two and is riding it everywhere. Because it is small and a bike he has an easier time reaching the pedals than on a tricycle where the pedals are on the wheel. He has a tricycle at his grandmother's house but can ride this much better. The tricycle seems to tip over easily. He has only tipped this over once. Since he is two we have the seat on the lowest setting. It was still just a little too tall so we removed the red plastic piece from under the seat and it's a perfect fit. With the seat being adjustable he will be able to ride this for quite awhile. He also loves that it's just like all the other big kids bikes in the neighborhood.
