The Freud Difference
Freud manufactures some of the most innovative, technologically advanced saw blades in the world. To ensure that the highest quality products meet the toughest design standards, Freud owns and operates six manufacturing facilities in Western Europe. Freud is one of the few manufacturers of woodworking tools in the world that produces its own MicroGrain carbide with titanium, called TiCo -- a combination of titanium and cobalt. Freud develops different types of carbide for each application to maximize the cutting life and performance of the tool; and Freud also operates one of the most modern product development research centers in Europe. By overseeing the entire manufacturing process from start to finish, Freud guarantees some of the highest quality, most advanced products in the industry.

About this Miter Saw Blade
The Diablo 8-1/2-inch 60-tooth slide compound miter saw blade is designed to meet the needs of the construction and remodeling market. This advanced laser-cut blade features a thin kerf, making it ideal for portable and low-powered saws on the jobsite. A permanent Perma-Shield coating keeps this blade free from gumming and corrosion, and laser-cut stabilizer vents reduce vibration and heat buildup for more precise cuts and longer cutting life. This particular blade is the perfect choice for trim carpenters because it leaves a smooth surface that requires little to no sanding. This Diablo saw blade has a 5/8-inch arbor with a fine finish, excellent for crosscutting oak, pine, melamine, plywood, and molding.

Customer Reviews
Smooth, clean cuts
I used this blade with a DeWalt 8.5-inch sliding compound miter saw on my recent flooring project. I was putting down a laminate/composite floor. The recommendation of the flooring manufacturer was for a carbide blade with a lot of teeth (60 on a 10-inch blade). I had to cut many angles because of the shape of the room and the saw/blade worked very well. Cut surfaces were very smooth - almost like they were planed. No chipping of the laminate surface, except to a very minor degree when I had to plunge the blade because the angle put the start of the cut right at the edge of the material.
I also used a laser guide with this blade. The laser guide is reliably at the left edge of the kerf, so you can get very close to the exact cut location you want.
The cutting noise is a bit lower than carbide blades with fewer teeth.
No complaints - the blade works as advertised. I also have a 7.25" Freud carbide blade on my circular saw (a Milwaukee) and it works well. This is one reason I decided on the Freud for the DeWalt saw.
Superb where others failed....
I bought this blade as a last-chance hope to use on a 1950s vintage combination machine tool, the ShopSmith 10er. The saw function is admitted to be the most compromised of the various options, and the tool is powered by its original 1/2HP motor. Other saw blades...even new ones...failed to cut through 1/4 stock without binding and gave a lousy cut to boot. I had pretty much decided to not use the 10er as a saw at all...but then this blade arrived. It whipped through 2x4s without blinking and gave a cut that was razor-clean besides. Highest recommendation!
An excellent blade.
I have used this and other Freud blades, and have found them to be of consistently high quality, giving excellent cut quality. For my needs as a hobbyist/homeowner they are an ideal choice. Will gladly buy another if and when I wear this one out.
