Six-Inch Resaw Capacity and Large Table for Flexibility
Designed to handle a range of projects with ease, this bandsaw offers a six-inch resaw capacity for cutting larger pieces of wood, 13-1/2-inch blade-to-frame capacity, and a generously sized, off-set cast-iron table. Measuring 15 x 15 inches, this durable table provides you with more work area in front of the blade, giving you the flexibility to handle material of various sizes and shapes.

1-1/4 HP Motor and Poly V-Belt Drive for Powerful, Quiet Performance
The JWBS-14DX owes its robust performance to a completely enclosed, fan-cooled 1-1/4 HP motor that makes short work of wood measuring up to six inches thick. And thanks to the poly V-belt drive, operation is noticeably quieter than other models.

Cast-Iron Frame for and Balanced Wheels for Smooth Operation
To help ensure smooth, stable operation, the JWBS-14DX features a heavy-duty cast-iron frame and sturdy steel construction for strength and rigidity. Rough and tough cast iron also greatly reduces vibration for more consistent performance. For additional protection against jarring vibrations, this bandsaw has precision computer balanced, nine-spoke band wheels to allow for accurate blade tracking job after job.

Guides Reduce Friction for Longer Blade Life
Built to last, the JWBS-14DX comes equipped with features that help prevent damaging wear and tear from compromising its performance. First, the micro-adjustable lower blade guide reduces friction for longer blade life. Additionally, graphite-impregnated polymer blade guides with roller bearing thrust guides ensure quicker set-up and a cooler running blade, which means less chance of heat damage ruining the blade.

Finally, a four-inch dust port allows for direct connection of a dust collection system so debris and dust don't harm the machine--or the operator.

Quick Tension Handle and Knob Tracking for Simple Adjustments
Extremely user friendly, this bandsaw makes adjustments quickly and easily via a single knob tracking adjustment that simplifies the blade tracking process. It also features a quick tension handle that makes for fast blade changes and then allows you to immediately resume the same bandsaw tension.

The JWBS-14DX arrives completely pre-wired, with both a rigid, one-piece welded stand that requires no assembly, and a 3/8-inch, 6.0 TPI woodworking blade, so you're ready to start cutting immediately.

The JWBS-14DX measures 26 x 68 x 19 inches (WxHxD), weighs 190 pounds, and is covered by a five-year warranty.

There are some woodworking projects that only a good band saw can handle properly. The Jet 710115K, with it’s powerful 1-1/4 horsepower motor and Micro Adjustable blade Guides, is one of those saws that makes short work of the hardest of woods up to 6 inches thick. The first thing you will notice is the quality of the heavy cast iron and steel construction of this saw and the 15- by 15-inch table provides a large working base. When it’s time to change blades the Quick Release Blade Tension Handle takes less time to use than changing a circular saw blade. You will also enjoy the quiet operation of the Poly V-Belt Drive and the Nine Spoke cast wheel, which keeps the blade turning so smoothly there is no noticeable vibration and very little heat build-up. Resaws hardwoods such as oak or cherry in less time than it takes to read the rave reviews about this tool. -- C. Dwight Barnett

From the Manufacturer
JET has taken the very popular JWBS-14 bandsaw and made some upgrades on a great saw. Power for the saw is now supplied by a 1-1/4 hp motor that will keep the nine spoke cast wheels turning smoothly through the cut. A new quick release blade tension handle will make blade changing very fast. Other features are micro adjustable blade guides, 4-Inch dust port and the new Poly V-belt drive. These new features plus the standard ones from before will certainly make this a must for any shop.

Rock Solid Band Saw5
I got my band saw a few weeks ago and I have been using it since then. I have to say, that I am very impressed with the quality of the build and the parts. This is a rock solid band saw and every piece of it yells quality. It comes in two big and heavy boxes and you need to assemble it yourself. In my case, it is not a big deal and to some degree, I even prefer to do it, so that I can get a good look at all the parts and details. I ordered the saw with the 6" riser block, the rip fence and roller bearings. It took a few hours to put it together, since I had to build a sturdy platform for it, to mount it on a mobile rack. But once that was taken care of, everything else moved pretty quickly and following the instructions, I put all the parts together and I was in business. I ended up with a saw that stands almost 7' tall and I can easily resaw 12" wide stock. I did some tests with 2x10 stock and I could produce very nice and thin layers. The dust port on the saw is a 4" port and it utilizes a design that I have seen on old Rockwell saws. Overall I am happy with the purchase and would recommend the saw to anybody looking for a nice and powerful band saw. (...)

I'm so Impressed5
Excellent band saw. I have several hours of work on my saw and I paid close attention to several items.

The blade guides were important for me because without good blade guides I find the quality of curves to suffer.

The blade itself stays very cool. I cut 14 intricate pieces of work for a project that took me about 30 minutes to complete and the blade was still cool to the touch. This is important to me because hot blades mean duller blades and more blade breakage.

The 1 1/4 horses serve up the perfect amount of power. 4.5" thick maple cut like butter, even with the factory blade.

The dust port is 2 1/2" with a coupler to convert it to 4", no big deal in my opinion, dust is minimal with band saws.

The saw is steady without vibration but I did have to make adjustments to get it perfect. Something I had to do with a more expensive band saw and something I expect to do with any tool.

The saw came in with the motor mount bent (something I have noticed in other reviews). I took it out and straightened it up and I'm going to go back and add 1" MDF to it to add strength to it. The motor is spot welded to the brace so be careful if yours is bent not to put a lot of force on the motor for straightening. I might take my motor into Jet and have them weld it better. It is just something for safety reasons and a peace of mind. Even though I swear this is a wonderfully built saw. You'll be extremely satisfied.

I'm jealous....5
Another review written for my typing challenged wood working buddy. He recieved this Jet Bandsaw for christmas and enlisted my aid in setting it up. I also have a Jet 14", couple of years old, and I love the thing. He has a 40 year old saw, a no name, that served both of us until I got my Jet.
The saw arrived in two boxe's and was very well packed. I think it took us longer to unpack everything than to assemble it. The fit and finish are typical Jet, very nice. The manual is very complete and since I already have basically the same saw, assembly was fairly straight forward and easy. He also got the riser block and we installed that and the carter style jet guides.
Now comes the jealousy part...his new saw has more power than mine, 1/4hp doesn't seem like much, but it is. The fence, with the resaw attachment is very nice, solid and easy to adjust. May have to order one for myself. Think it is even better than my homemade one. But the real kicker is the detensioner lever, man what a time saver. No more turning the knob 25 revolutions to relax the tension on the blade, no more wondering if ya got the tension the same as yesterday and changing blades has become that much more simpler. Cost's too much to add one to my saw, Jet doesn't offer it as a kit, you have to buy all the parts seperatly and try and fit it to the saw. Otherwise I would have stolen his. 'nuff whining.
We mounted the saw on a Jet mobile base, same as mine, after replacing the rear castor on it. Put a Grizzly locking caster on it...tougher and easier to lock the base that way. Even with the riser block, this mobile base is as solid as a rock, and has a much smaller footprint than any of the cheaper generic bases. The saw came up to speed very nicely and is as quiet running as mine. He really likes that part...his old saw was quite noisy. The improved dust collection is a big plus, guess Jet does listen to their customers. The saw runs with very little vibration and the roller guides are easy to adjust. He was ready for his new addition with a good selection of 105" Olson Pro blades, so the factory blade was hung on the wall and will probably remain there. Vibration is very minimal and he has already resawn a bunch of white oak he is prepping for a project.
This is a great saw, for the money, and will serve him for many years. He is going to set his old saw up for light scroll work and use his new saw for everything else. As with my older Jet, we both recommend this new improved version to all woodworkers.
Now where did I put Jet's customer service number........
