great tool
I ordered this tool based on my past experiences with Malco tools. Once again, they have delivered a great tool at a great price and it performs flawlessly. I have used it on both James Hardie fiber cement siding, 1/4" Hardibacker as well as Hardibacker 500 (1/2"). It shears through all of them with ease. I have used it with both a cordless drill and also with a corded drill. Both work well, with the corded one being a little faster.
I would wholeheartedly recommend them.
Dust Free Fiber Cement!
After using a circular saw, this product is superb. Easy to attach and remove, a great price/performance ratio. I love it.
A cordless way to cut fiber cement
This shear is an attachment for a cordless drill. I attached it to a 18 volt DeWalt. The DeWalt has plenty of power to run the shear. The weight of the drill and shear is heavy, about like a recipicating saw and is front heavy. The pluses are that you can cut fiber cement without extention cords and the dust of using a saw.
