Amazon.com Product Description
The DEWALT D28402K Small Angle Grinder is designed to make demanding tasks easier to complete with innovative features, including: a powerful 10 amp, 11,000 rpm motor; an ergonomic, slim body design; and a large spindle lock button for easy wheel changes. The grinder has built in protection, featuring a one piece brush arm to guard against dust ingress, an auto-brush shut off to prevent damage when the brush is ready to be changed, and a paddle switch lock-off feature so the grinder won’t power on accidently. The D28402K's ergonomic, removable side handle increases comfort and reduces vibration and the patent Quick-Change Wheel Release enables you to disengage the wheel without a wrench. Its jam-pot, low profile gear case is designed with exact gear alignment to help you maneuver into tight spaces while producing a lower sound transmission and comfortable operation.

Power to spare!
I needed a new grinder for grinding a concrete patio. My previous one burned out (it was a cheap one - $30, 5.8 amps). I decided to go with a good one this time. It has power to spare (10amp). Never slowed down during my grinding like my old one. It also did not get overheated like my old one. This is a great addition to my tool collection - especially Dewalt.
Even came with a carrying case.
Wow - Nothing but grins about this grinder!
I needed a grinder to restore an old Porsche so I went shopping. I really liked the on/off switch position on the Milwaukee grinders. Most others had these inconveniently placed switches. The D28402K's switch is pretty good. It is very comfortable in your hand and light. And the power... OH WOW! I sharpened my lawn mower blade in just a few minutes. I can't believe that I had sharped them by hand before.
The case in very nice. It is heavy duty plastic. There is a holder in there for your grinding and cut off wheels. The handle can be put on either side if you are left or right handed.
Bottom Line - I love it. This is my second DeWalt too. It won't be my last.
Dewalt Grinder
I love this tool. I wish I would have bought one sooner. I bought this grinder with a specific purpose. To make rounded cuts in 1/2 floor tile. I bought a Dewalt Diamond Blade and this tool at the same time. I like the balance of the tool, being able to move the handle to either side and being able to adjust the shield for various applications. I thought it was going to be awkward cutting the arches in the tile but found the tool easy to handle and with enough power to make the job relatively easy. I made two passes even thought the directions indicated that 1/2" depth was acceptable in one pass. I just wanted to do two passes so the tile didn't break in the wrong spot. Definitely wear goggles, a mask and ear protection as this tool creates a fine dust storm. Dust collection would be a great asset to this tool but I am not quite sure how it could be done without diminishing the tool's flexibility. You will also need a compressor with an air attachment or compressed air to blow out the tool periodically during use to get the grit out. In the directions they recommended wearing gloves because of excessive vibration but I did not find this to be a factor in cutting the tile. They also "required" you to have a double-sided additional shield (not included) when using a cutting blade. They should really include this in the kit as I didn't know I needed it until after the purchase (they should have also put this on the package with the cutting blade). Overall this tool performed better than I expected.
