Impressive Power in a Minute or Less4
This cordless screwdriver functions just as advertised. You can charge it to full-power in 60 seconds or less and it delivers an impressive amount of torque. It also feels reasonably rugged. The fact that it uses rechargeable capacitors instead of batteries is especially handy for the occasional user because you never have to worry about the charge being too low or the batteries being dead. You also don't have to keep it constantly charged, which occupies a wall outlet and wastes electricity. You don't even have to worry about replacing the capacitors: They're good for hundreds of thousands of charge cycles.

The one thing to keep in mind is that it's large. It measures 28cm (11 inches) long, not including the driver tip, and it's 4.5cm (1-3/4") in diameter, not including the power switch. It's also straight, which would make it difficult to use in tight spaces. This may be obvious to most from looking at the picture, but may be less obvious to someone who doesn't use power tools that often. As long as you're clear on what it can and can't do you should be very happy with it.

NO Batteries to charge! Ready When you are!5
I could not wait to get this product and when it arrived I quickly put it through it's paces. It charged in 90 seconds and provided enough juice to screw in 7 screws into poplar wood and still had power. The torque was higher than I expected and the tool felt solid in my hands. It comes a a good selection of bits (stored right on the charger)that will handle most common sizes and types of screws. It is a bit bigger than my old battery powered screwdriver and the charger is also a little bigger than you would expect. If you are working is tight spaces the size of the screwdriver may not be optimal but that is a small drawback.

It uses flash cell technology and the manual claims that you could charge it as much as 500,000 times! I may not live that long to see if that is true and I am sure the internal parts would wear out before you could charge it that many times. It appears that it is built solid and should give me years of trouble free use.

The drawbacks:
Large size
Large Charger
Seems the Company that makes these or serves as suppler to Coleman is out of business, [...]

I hope that if I have problems with this that Coleman will honor the two year warranty as their name is on the product.

Totally Awesome Screwdriver5
Ok, I've owned this baby for a few weeks and only had to charge it once. So, this review is more in the flavor of a rave on the technology rather than a review on this item.

The selling point for this gizmo is that it does NOT use batteries. Instead there are a bank of super capacitors within the handle that can be charged in seconds.

The screwdriver came mostly discharged. I plugged it into the base and within the advertised 90 seconds, it was at full charge. I used it to disassemble an old computer 6 screws, remove a hard drive (4 screws), close up the case with no hard drive (tossing the computer) so another 6 screws driven in. That was several weeks ago and I can still drive screws. I don't know how rapidly it dies so the next time I attempt to remove a screw it might die. Probably, unlike batteries, it crashes hard from one second to the next.

I've got to say, this is a gift from the gods for folks like me who only use a cordless screwdriver once every few months. If it lives up to its specs, I should be able to come upon it fully discharged in 6 months time and recharge it in 90 seconds. How totally cool is that?

This screwdriver is replacing the venerable Black & Decker cordless. I really liked that one cause it had removable batteries. But I often found myself in need of a screwdriver and would discover that this tool was totally discharged and that I'd have to spend hours recharging a battery. Needless to say, I'd use a hand tool to accomplish the job.

I'll revisit this review should I reform my opinion of this thing in the future. For instance, if it starts to let me down and fail, I'll certainly post that as an updated review.
