![]() | Breaking Dawn (The Twilight Saga, Book 4) by Stephenie Meyer
Buy new: $9.00 / Used from: $9.00 I started the year off by reading the final installment in the Twilight Saga. I really enjoyed this series. Breaking Dawn was by far the strangest of the four but pretty good none the less.

![]() | It's Not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life by Lance Armstrong

![]() | Cocktails for Three by Madeleine Wickham
Buy used from: $2.82 This book was just ok for me. I think I had a hard time getting past the alcohol consumption of the pregnant character!
![]() | Full Speed (Janet Evanovich's Full Series) by Janet Evanovich
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.01 Another quick Janet Evanovich read. Sometimes it's nice to read a bit of a mindless book.
![]() | Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.74 This book is written completely in letters and emails. My first Ahern book and I loved it!
![]() | Sundays at Tiffany's by James Patterson
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.01 I'm a big Patterson fan and love it when he steps outside his murder mystery box. This is a good book about an imaginary friend.
![]() | Delivering Doctor Amelia: The Story of a Gifted Young Obstetrician's Mistake and the Psychologist Who Helped Her by Dan Shapiro
Buy used from: $0.01 I loved this interesting, true story. The title pretty much explains it all.
![]() | Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire by J. K. Rowling
Buy used from: $6.93 This is my third time reading the Harry Potter series. I've been re-reading them in preparation for the 6th movie coming out in July. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I believe everyone, young and old, can get something out of this series. J.K. Rowling is amazing!!!
![]() | Hidden: A Novel by Paul Jaskunas
Buy new: $17.95 / Used from: $0.01 This is a classic case of me reading a book, moving on to the next one and completely forgetting the last...I don't remember hating this book so it must have been somewhat good!
![]() | The Chocolate Lovers' Club by Carole Matthews
Buy new: $10.04 / Used from: $0.48 I'm a fan of Carole Matthews, I've loved the books of hers that I have read in the past. However, it took me a while to get through this one. I just wasn't sucked into it at all and it didn't feel like the others that I have read of hers. One thing it did do though was make me crave chocolate like mad!
![]() | The 8th Confession (The Women's Murder Club) by James Patterson
Buy new: $16.37 / Used from: $4.46 The Women's Murder Club series is great!! What more can I say??
![]() | The Woods by Harlan Coben
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $0.01 Pretty good book. I read Tell No One not too long ago and loved it, that's what made me pick up The Woods.
![]() | Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog by John Grogan
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.01 This book received great reviews and I really wanted to like it but I found it so boring. The end touched me when Marley died but I just didn't get much out of the rest of the book.
![]() | PS, I Love You Movie Tie-In Edition by Cecelia Ahern
Buy new: $11.16 / Used from: $0.01 If you're looking for a very "woe is me" type story, this is the one for you. I, however, thought it very boring and repetitive. The plot seemed to have potential but I just wasn't feeling it.
![]() | Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Book 6) by J.K. Rowling
Buy new: $9.35 / Used from: $3.38 See Goblet of Fire above for my comments on this series...
![]() | Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult
Buy new: $9.36 / Used from: $1.36 Wow. I'm not even sure where to start with this one. Not because I didn't like it, I did. I've like all of the books that I've read by Jodi Picoult. But it was disturbing, as a mother anyway. None of us think that our kids will end up walking into a school one day and spraying bullets everywhere. A great, profound book. Read it, whether you're a parent or not.
![]() | The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
Buy new: $10.52 / Used from: $6.87 I bought this book because of the rave reviews it received but, to me, it did not live up to all of the hype. It was a bit strange and I'm not normally put off by strange. I didn't feel it had much substance. I did get through it and it is a quick read but I don't see myself reading another Neil Gaiman novel in the near future.
![]() | If I Am Missing or Dead: A Sister's Story of Love, Murder, and Liberation by Janine Latus
Buy new: $10.00 / Used from: $2.98 I've read a few duds this year so this selection was definitely a refreshing turn for the better for me! Great, true story!
![]() | Look Closely by Laura Caldwell
Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $0.01 I picked this book up at a library sale quite a few months ago and it has been on my bookshelf, untouched, ever since. I finally picked it up and was pleasantly surprised. This was my first read by this author. Great book, a little predictable toward the end but that's ok sometimes! I will definitely pick up more of Laura Caldwell's books in the future.
![]() | Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life by Anne Lamott
Buy new: $10.20 / Used from: $2.65 I purchased this book to satisfy a curiosity about writing. It seems to have some good information but I have nothing to compare it to. It did receive some good reviews so if you're looking for a book about writing this is probably a good place to start.
![]() | Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) by J.K. Rowling
Buy new: $10.19 / Used from: $8.99 I rushed through this book back when it was released because I just had to know how it all ended. So, when I started reading it this time, I couldn't believe how much I had forgotten! Harry Potter is definitely my favorite series, I don't think another will ever touch me like this series has. No matter what your age, if you haven't read this series yet...please do so!
![]() | Skinner's Drift: A Novel by Lisa Fugard
Buy new: $13.20 / Used from: $0.01 I read this book for a book club that I'm in. I didn't hate the book but not a whole lot actually happened. I guess since it's a book club selection I should have dug deep into it's African roots but I was a bit bored by it. Not a book I would have selected to read on my own but not a complete waste of time either.
![]() | After the Fire: A True Story of Friendship and Survival by Robin Gaby Fisher
Buy new: $16.49 / Used from: $0.75 This is a deeply moving story about tragedy and survival. I found that I had a lump in my throat each time I picked this book up and began to read. Great story!
![]() | The Secret by Rhonda Byrne
Buy new: $14.00 / Used from: $3.41 By far the BEST book that I have read this year (aside from Harry Potter of course...) and quite possibly the best book I've read EVER (see previous Harry Potter statement though...)! Pick this book up, share it with your friends and family and watch your life begin to transform!
![]() | Patty Jane's House of Curl (Ballantine Reader's Circle) by Lorna Landvik
Buy new: $10.04 / Used from: $0.01 Great novel. A tad predictable in a couple areas but that did not take away from the story.
![]() | Sweeping Up Glass by Carolyn Wall
Buy new: $10.08 / Used from: $4.12 Another book club selection...This one way better than the last! Great story. A bit slow paced in the beginning and on through the middle. The end picks up pace very quick which feels a little strange but all in all, a very good book.
![]() | Confessions Of An Ex-Girlfriend by Lynda Curnyn
Buy used from: $0.01 I was excited when I started this book because it had a very Sophie Kinsella-ish feel but it didn't quite live up to Sophie. Good book but never got very exciting for me.
![]() | Where White Horses Gallop (Globe and Mail Best Books) by Beatrice MacNeil
Buy new: $10.17 / Used from: $9.55 Beautifully written yet endlessly sad. My third book club selection.
![]() | Heat Wave (Nikki Heat) by Richard Castle
Buy new: $10.00 / Used from: $9.48 I love the TV series "Castle" so I just couldn't resist reading this book! Not the best writing ever but entertaining none-the-less.
