Editorial Reviews

From the Manufacturer
The Nikon 7447 Astronomy Serires Astroluxe XL has an 18x high magnification and 720 wide viewfield. This binocular is suitable for astronomy, surveillance, navigation and other professional and specialized applications.

It is equipped with a long eye relief design for wearers of eyeglasses; eye relief, the distance between eyepiece lenses and the eyepoint where the entire field can be viewed without vignetting, is 15.4mm long for a wide viewfield when wearing eyeglasses.

The 7447 has a bright viewfield, large 70mm diameter objectives and multilayer coating applied to all lenses and prisms which increase light transmittance, ensuring a bright field of view.

This binocular is waterproofed for use under such severe conditions as rain, wind and night dew. The nitrogen gas-filled body prevents the binocular from fogging that can otherwise result when binocular is exposed to sudden changes in temperature. The secure viewing rubber ring prevents the dioptre adjustment ring from slipping when exposed to moisture and perspiration.
