Customer Reviews

Very pretty, but not really practical...2
When I first saw this feeder I was awe struck as it was so pretty. I thought it would be a great addition to our newly re-landscaped backyard. I got it, unpacked it, and started to disassemble to wash it. This went fairly well. The copper coiling around the glass was very springy and I didn't think it would be a problem. When I filled the glass with the bird feed it was easy. But when I went to screw the bottom back on I was in for a surprise. The bottom piece that it screws into is plastic and the copper coiling was so taught that it really prevented me from getting any type of a seal on the two pieces. I couldn't believe it. I thought I had it screwed on good, then I hung it on our hanger. Oh ya, the S hook that is sent with it was too small to fit on our "standard" Shepard's hook. So I just hooked it on the copper coiling. It hung crooked. My husband went to look at it, barely touched it and it fell apart! The bottom fell off because it wasn't screwed in well. After my husband was done "fixing" it he had determined that the plastic piece on the bottom was not properly fitting so he used a zip tie to get it to screw in. It is hanging outside now, still not using the S hook it was sent with. It looks nice. Attracts a lot of wasps (they can sit on the edge and drink from it). The seams aren't very well sealed so they can get a lot. I'm not sure that I'll put it out next year.

Hummingbirds In Love5
I love it, I love it, I love it! And so do the little miracle birds! Not only do they drink from it, they sit and hang out, they call their friends over and they are very vocal. I had no idea hummingbirds were so vocal but they chirp and giggle and holler, Hey dude COME look at THIS it's the coolest, biggest, sweetest flower I have EVER seen! So far no bees, no ants, just beautiful fluttering angels sipping sugar nectar (my Hollywood recipe: 2 parts organic evaporated cane juice sugar, 2 parts bottled spring water, bring it to a boil then cool it in the fridge overnight) from this gorgeous oval vessel. :O)

Great Hummingbird Feeder5
I absolutely love this feeder. I have not had any problems with it leaking and the hummingbirds just love it. I am going to buy another one to put at my cottage also.
