Customer Reviews

Good but not quite as advertised4
This textbook is pretty good. I bought it after I had done all the questions in the Wiley study guide. The questions in both books are almost identical, about 99% identical. I did not know this until I bought the book, hewever.

The simulations in the book are good too. The main selling point for me were the instructions on how to get a CD-Rom with 50 simulations. The disk does not come with the book, this was annoying. I had to fill out a card and give them my phone number and e-mail address or I would not receive my disk in the mail. Four days after mailing the card to Bisk I got bomabarded with e-mails and messages on my answering machine from them wanting to sell me all kinds of study materials, but after two weeks of this I still did not have my CD-Rom. I finally e-mailed them and complained that I didn't like having to subscribe to there sales pitch just to get the rest of what I paid for.

The disk showed up a few days later but it only had 5 Auditing simulations on it, not the 50 that the card I mailed in said it would. It had a total of 13 simulations if you counted the ones that were with the other exam sections. Plus you have to type in this rediculously long password everytime you want to use this demo software, that's right, demo software. Like I said the text is pretty good, but unless you want to be annoyed with sales calls and spam, I would stick with the CPA review books from Wiley. The Wiley books are layed out a little better and I have passed the other three sections of the exam using only the Wiley study guides and Audio CD's.
