Good Basic Training!
If you want a quick lesson in making jewelry, esp. a bracelet,
this is the gift to get for yourself or another. An at home
beading class.
Fabulous!
I received the Jewelry Class in a Box on a Saturday and was able to complete all 3 projects before Sunday evening. This from a woman with no experience at this kind of thing. I can't say enough good things about this product, but I will try to enumerate:
Delivery: I got this product within 3 days after ordering it. I consider that pretty good since I didn't pay any extra for expedited delivery. Product was well packed and in good shape.
The materials: I expected mostly cheap plastic beads (which was okay with me as the main reason I got this kit was to learn the process). Instead, ALL beads were glass or ceramic and very pretty. All materials needed to make the 3 projects were included. The clasps were nice ones, not cheap simple ones. Plenty of stringing wire and stretchy string. The 3-in-1 tool is a dandy, and works beautifully. The layout board is similar to the ones used by folks who do a LOT of jewelry making, and was invaluable.
The documentation: A pamphlet is included that not only gives instructions for each item -with great pictures, but also a list of techniques and terms. All instructions (whether for making a necklace or learning a technique) are easy to follow and fully diagramed. This was my only introduction on how to make beaded jewelry, and it was so easy I felt ready to move on to more challenging things after the weekend.
The end result: Despite the fact that it was my first effort, every single piece looked great -and all very pretty.
Oh, and it was LOTS of fun!
