Good protection for your lens
Ever since I got into digital photography, I never used special filters for any photographic effects. Seems like it is easier to use Photoshop to apply the different effects versus constantly changing filters. But the traditional UV filter works great as protection for the camera lens. I would rather get a smudge or a scratch on a couple dollar filter than on a couple hundred dollar lens.

Great price for this item. Works well with my wife's canon digital EOS camera.

I just use this for protection in dusty or sandy or saltwater situations and it works well.
