Product Description
From Paul Abbott, the much-celebrated author of Reckless and Cracker, comes this contemporary, darkly-edged miniseries starring Robson Green (Reckless, Me & Mrs. Jones) as Detective Inspector Dave Creegan. Follow the exploits of the Organized and Serial Crime Unit (OSC), an FBI-styled rapid-response elite crime squad. Co-stars Nicola Walker (Four Weddings and a Funeral) as Creegan's partner. Then, maverick D.I. Creegan and his partner D.I. Taylor are on the case in three all-new, darkly tinged two-hour dramas. This time out, Creegan, Taylor and the Organized and Serial Crime Unit track a serial kidnapper-murderer whose fatal fascination with young women leaves Creegan with a new scar to bear; a profoundly disturbed relief worker whose nightmares of atrocities committed in Bosnia impel him to erase the memories of fellow aides—permanently; and an international ring of baby brokers. Creegan is back on the job, having recovered from a nervous breakdown. In the first case, he is determined to clear the name of a man he helped convict–a tough task given that the murders began again once the suspected killer got out of jail. Then, a new serial killer terrorizes the city by setting his victims on fire. Will Creegan crack the case before he gets burned?

SCARY
ALMOST AS GRITTY AS THE PRIME SUSPECT SERIES. A MUST SEE FOR ROBSON GREEN FANS.
But, is this the full British version?
I notice that all the reviews are US - as am I - but several places with articles about the show indicate that the American version (USA/BBCAmerica) has "changes" but none have indicated what those are. I have a LARGE problem with that, so never buy BBC/Granada etc. products until they are verified to be the actual Brit versions - since the changes are never adding more stuff, but rather always removing "offensive" stuff. If anyone can clarify the situation on this quite excellent series, I would be most appreciative.
Touching Evil is great
I found this series to be well written and compelling. Robson Green's character and his performance are stellar. I think this series is as good as Prime Suspect, though darker and creepier. Positively addictive. I am very upset that there are no more episodes to watch
