From the Manufacturer

Intuos3 gives you the power to quickly and professionally edit photos and create digital artwork by turning on the full power of Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, and over 100 other leading software applications. Intuos3 tablets now put ExpressKeys and Touch Strips right at your fingertips for convenient keyboard shortcuts, scrolling, zooming, brush size control, and more. And if you're using a widescreen display or multiple monitors, the new Intuos3 6x11 and 12x19 are designed just for you.

Wacom's pen-abled technology gives you the natural feel and superior performance of Wacom's patented cordless and battery-free tablet technology. You'll find that using an Intuos pen, mouse, and tablet gives you more control, comfort, and productivity. Alternating between the comfortable Grip Pen and the ergonomic five-button Intuos3 mouse reduces repetitive motion. It's an easy and natural way to work.

Every point on the tablet has a matching point on the screen. When you
move your pen over the tablet the cursor moves in precisely the same way on the screen.

Using a pen tablet is easy
It's easy to use a pen tablet because every point on the tablet has a matching point on the screen. When you move your pen over the tablet the cursor moves in precisely the same way on the screen. Where you touch your pen tip to the tablet is where you click.

Pressure sensitivity
The Intuos3 Grip Pen gives you the power of pressure-sensitive control. Pressure sensitivity lets you control your software tools by changing how hard you press the pen tip to the tablet surface. Using pressure sensitivity you can dynamically control things like brush size, opacity, and more.

Something extra to think about....5
With this level of 5 star reviews this product obviously will change the way you approach graphic work for life.

Rather than rehash all that has been said, I would like to add a little notice for those who haven't used this product before. In photoshop make sure you take advantage of the snapshot button in the history panel. Once you start brushing with the pen you will quickly exceed your max undo-ability, no matter how high you have it set. Not sure where it is? At the bottom of the history panel, there is a little camera, it will be next to a trash can icon; click on it and that state of your work will be forever saved.

Great Photoshop Tool4
The Wacom tablet is a great tool for professionals who want more control in rendering packages (like Photoshop) than what a mouse alone can give. As a ten-year Photoshop user, I'm familiar with the tricks of the trade... adding a tablet and stylus has made the program work better for me, as it provides a more direct hand-to-pen feel than what a mouse can deliver.

It's a bit of a transition going from mouse to tablet, if only because what you draw on the tablet actually appears on the screen. However, even my five year olds (budding scribblers) picked up on the idea of looking at the screen and drawing with a pressure-sensitive pen. If I (and they) can do it, so can you.

A must if you love to draw or have tiny objects to remove4
The Wacom Tablet has always been a mainstay of my work as an artist using Photoshop. I love to draw and often have to modify very small areas of my digital work. I just purchased a new Wacom up-to-date tablet and everything works beautifully except for one thing. Although I assume I have set the pen up to make a varied width line it does not do it on the tablet. I get a line that is all one width. This was also true on my last Wacom Tablet. This hopefully is something I am doing wrong and not the fault of the tablet.
