Customer Reviews
everything I expected
This case was everything I expected it to be. The case is very good quality, and it seems to take excellent pictures. I've only took some pics w/ it at 30ft at a local "green water" lake, and the pictures turned out great. The only flaw with this case is the way the weights to keep the case from floating attaches. It's too easy for the weights to turn and eventually loosen the screw. I lost my set of weights on my very first dive.
No leaks after taking it beyond 100 feet
This worked well. No leaks. For my first use, I took it down without my camera inside and pressed and turned all the buttons and knobs. You should do the same. Then check the o-ring carefully all around for dust or sand after each time you close the case. Then I took it beyond 100 feet. No leak. Dry. Worked perfectly.
Canon WP-DC2 Waterproof Camera Case for Canon a540
I purchased this case a month ago and have used it several times in salt water. The case allows you to make all the same adjustments underwater that you would without the case. The only problem I have run into is that you must be familiar with the camera as the camera's buttons/settings are difficult to see through the case. The view window and lens window are crystal clear. There does not appear to be any rust on the few stainless steel parts of this case. I have not tested this item to a depth greater than 5ft but the seal and case appear to be sufficient for the advertised depths. Only suggestion I have for any future consumers is to buy silica gel packets to put inside the camera case during use. If it is humid outside when you seal the case and the temperature in the case gets hot enough you can begin to see moisture accumulate on the interior surfaces. Overall, a great product albeit a little expensive.
