This is an Ideal portrait filter. Smoothing skin and minimizing facial imperfections while still retaining overall clarity. This High-Trans Titanium Filter has very high transmissive properties utilizing multicoatings and a Titanium oxide component. These filters are mounted in a light weight metal ring with a matte black anti reflective inner ring and a Titanium finnish outer ring to identify the titanium oxide componenet in the filter. The new coatings for this filter increases hardness and reduces the suceptibility to smearing.

What Junk
DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK... spend a little more and get better quality. I wish I'd read these reviews first. They mention that the threads on this filter are not well made... I put it on the camera and couldn't get it off. Took ten minutes to loosen it. I tried again...this time not tightening it. Same problem. It is in the trash. I wouldn't even give it away.

Protects Your Lens
Everyone should have a UV filter screwed onto the end of each of their lenses. It's a lot cheaper to replace one of these when it gets scratched than a lense. This does what it's supposed to do.

Could be better
The filter itself is fine. But the package is horrible. It is not air tight and there is no plastic bag to protect the filter.

So you can image how much dusts can get on it during shipping and handling. Actually, I had to clean the dusts on the filter by myself before I could use it!
