Flipside and Game Over are just GREAT!
I never write reviews, but I do however read them. I had to write one for these two books because they were just great!!! I had this book for a couple of months and never read it, because frankly I was getting a little tired of reading about the same thing, drugs, hustlers, hoes, etc....good girl meets bad guy and so forth....but Whittaker really fooled me with this title. It has nothing to do with the DRUG game! It's more about the LOVE game and how easily we can build a wall up so high, that no one can get over it! I cried, & laughed with this book and these characters. It was so refreshing to see a Black man in a good light...him being a doctor and a thug??? That was EXCELLENT! Because wether we want to admit it or not, a lot of us want a man that's just like that! He had such versatility! I think it was extraordinary how she weaved that mother and daughter relationship in there. Those were powerful feelings that Vera were feeling about her mother and they had to be addressed! Thank You Tushonda, for writing two good QUALITY books!!!!

Can I get a part 3...
Read Flipside of the Game first and Game Over is part 2. Both books were excellent. I have NEVER read a book that had me laughing out loud. My co-workers kept wondering why I was laughing so hard. Lately the books that I have been reading had a terrible ending but this book started on good note, held the note through out the book and ended on an even better note. 5 stars to Tu-shonda for finally giving me a good ending after reading for hours. This is a true must read!!!! :)

PERFECT CONLCUSION!!
I positvely loved this book. It is a must to read part 1 first. I got Flipside and at the end almost died when I saw it was a cliffhanger. I couldn't get my hands on Game Over fast enough!! Ms. Whitaker tied up all the loose ends and made me gasp, cry and laugh at loud..All in a day and a half!! I love the way the "Game" portrayed here is not the drug game, but the Love game. I wish it was a series, it had me so involved emotionally. While I agree that some of the ladies' antics were childish, if you read, you might understand what can drive a group of women to that extreme. Also thanks for creating Taj as a strong, sexy, successul Black Man that's not a drug dealer. I LOVED IT COMPLETELY!!
