Product Description

She was the most irresistible treasure of all . . .

Dominic LeVeq, the most notorious privateer ever to command the high seas, has just captured a coveted prize: a British frigate. On a dangerous mission against the Crown, Dominic should be thinking only of his ship's safety. But the rebel captain is utterly entranced by Clare Sullivan, the stunning slave on board. Consumed by desire, desperate to have her, Dominic offers Clare her freedom in exchange for a forbidden night in his bed—a night he assures her will be most pleasureable indeed.

Clare believes that Dominic is nothing more than a seductive rogue used to getting what he wants. But she too feels a tantalizing passion between them, and so she submits to just one night of bliss. She'll soon realize that Dominic has captured more than her body. He's captured her heart . . . and she doesn't want him to ever let go.

Captivated5
Beverly Jenkins new release, Captured, has completely capitivated my heart. This book is a thrill a minute and I am still riding high after having read it. In this book Ms. Jenkins returns us to the House of LeVeq. Only this time, she takes us where it all began. The book starts off with a bang when Clare is captured by the pirate, Dominic LeVeq. Ms. Jenkins is one of the best writers I have read and especially when it comes to her ability to make you feel like you are actually experiencing what is happening in her books. She is very descriptive of everything: the period, the clothes, the ships, life on the ship, the life of a slave, and all those personalities. And sometimes, it can be ever so subtle, but you get the point. The scenes read like a movie, they are so visual. And let's not forget about Clare and Dominic. I absolutely adored their love story. If you are looking for a book that has history, romance, adventure, action, and/or suspense, this book has it all. Ms. Jenkins has done it again, another hit!!!

Caught up!5

Dominic LeVeq a lovechild of a Frenchman and a slave. When Dominic's father dies his half brother Eduard and his stepmom conspired to cheat him out of his inheritance. Eduard wants to take all his father's workers and make them slaves, but Dominic can't have that he steals Ed's boat and races to save the 300 workers.

While Dominic has started a new life his main mission in life is to rescue as many slaves as possible. He and his crew take over a British frigate. On board he finds a beautiful slave by the name of Clare Sullivan. He steals Clare from her owners and take her to his Free Cuban island. Clare doesn't want to be free, because her children are still enslaved in Savannah.

Dominic makes Clare love him and soon she wants to stay, but not without her children and that's where the action begins. This was one of Beverly Jenkins' best books, you get a great history lesson, action, and romance. Great job Ms. Jenkins

Wonderful Book5
Along with everyone else, I love . . . love Beverly Jenkins's historical novels and this is the best one yet. The charecters pull you in from the first page and they are written with such depth and emotional that you really want to see how they manage to attain their HEA. This is a masterful story. I loved every minute of it. And ditto the comment where Dominic tells Clare 'I want to kiss you until the sun turns into the moon,' comment. ****SWOON*******
