1989. 'Clark, it's the gift that keeps on givin' all year long.' The 1st VACATION movie is Classic, but this one makes me cry... tears of frickin' laughter.

1985. 'Is there something you'd like to share with the rest of us, Amazing Larry?!' Because there was a scene with Amazing Larry that was cut from the magic shop sequence, that line became the funniest non sequitur in the film. Oh, how I miss Pee Wee. Tim Burton's best film... Well, at least his funniest.

1984. Artificial inspiration. 'Horses ain't like people. They can't make themselves better than they're born.' The most underrated film of the 80's. A Tour de force of cinematic characterization.

1986. When this came out in the 80's, my best friend asked me, 'How much did you get paid to play Duckie?' I looked just like Cryer back then. Right down to the brothel creepers. I still wanna beat the crap out of James Spader. And, Andrew McCarthy. Eerie.

1981. First time I saw this, I was drunk with about ten friends at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. I think I tripped and fell into John Wayne's foot prints. Not a good drunk movie.

1983. This was State of The Art back in '83. It was jaw dropping on the big screen. Somehow, I thought maybe they'd rebuild the Death Star yet again for another sequel.

1984. I was sitting right in front of the director at a sneak preview of this film in L.A. I think he knew he had a hit on hands, because no one could hear the movie over my laughter. True story.

1981. The standard was set by George Miller for every stuntman that ever crashed a car. It has yet to be surpassed.

1983. I pity the fool that missed this one! I heard Survivor's EYE OF THE TIGER in the supermarket the other day and beat up a head of iceberg lettuce. I watched this on video tape so many times in the 80's my brain turned to mush. For me, the ROCKY Legacy died after this one. Maybe that was a good thing. You decide. I'm gonna watch it again and beat up some more vegetables.

1989. Almost everyone remembers Cusack blasting Peter Gabriel's IN YOUR EYES out of his boom box. But, how many people remember Lili Taylor's hilarious scene-stealing song about Joe? An unforgettable film.

1980. The first truly frightening film of the 80's. Nicholson in his prime.

1985. This hilarious exchange was on my answering machine for a long time: 'Is Dale Biberman in there?!...' I always thought her name was 'Beaverman.' Another Classic Brat Pack film.

1983. When Travolta was cut. This one might fall into your SUCKS category. But, I wanted to be Tony Manero so bad, it always transports me right back to the 80's. A guilty pleasure.

1985. 'Here's a song me mother taught me... Love, exciting and new. Come aboard, we're expectin' ya.' Hilarious. An underrated feelgood John Candy comedy Classic.

1982. 'Are you guys gonna listen to Gary?! He could be one of those things!' A girl I knew in '82 said, 'The slimiest movie I've ever seen.' I ran to the theater. Carpenter's best film. The latest transfer of this film is amazing. It's one of the DVDs I use to showcase my plasma TV. Just get it!

1986. The "High Concept" music video film is born. 'You can be my wingman... No, you can be MY wingman.' Hilarious. Great fighter jet footage with Maverick, Goose, Iceman, Slider, Wolfman, and more... Very nice transfer and 2 Disc DVD Edition. Booyah! Sooo, 80's.

1989. 'Buck... Buck Melanoma. Moley Russell Wart.' OMG, that scene alone is worth the whole price of the movie. Another John Hughes Classic with the late great John Candy.

1987. 'How many boats can you ski behind, Gordon?' Oliver Stone's Classic film on the greed of the Me Decade. (His father was a stockbroker.) More relevant TODAY than it was in the 80's. Stone is making a sequel.

1989. 'Hi, I'm Larry... F__k off, Larry.' Terry Kiser gives the greatest performance of a dead guy in the history of cinema. Why he wasn't nominated for a Golden Boy is just beyond me.

1989. The film that single handedly changed the romantic comedy for all time. Harry Connick's soundtrack album started a huge jazz standard revival, and set the tone for almost every romantic comedy that followed. Classic 80's!
