From Publishers Weekly
Cross Academy has a Night Class full of vampires and a Day Class that must be protected from them without knowing their secret. The headmaster's on a mission to end the war between the two sides, heedless of the danger it brings as the two groups pass every day at twilight. (The setup allows for plenty of drama, though, as every day is another chance to lose someone.) Yuki Cross knows about the monsters because she was saved from them by one of them as a small child. She's become one of the school's guardians, keeping the two groups apart no matter how attractive the Night Class is to the Days. Her co-guardian wants to kill the beasts, but Yuki's fascinated by one of the vampires, the one who rescued her years ago. Dark, crowded panels match the subject, with dramatic goth art by Hino (MeruPuri) ramping up the intensity, although sometimes it's hard to tell the characters apart with everyone's glum, spiky faces. Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer will find much comfortable—the young woman tasked with an unusual and solitary mission, the school setting, the question whether to love or kill the vampire, the drama in worrying over whether a fellow fighter has been transformed by the dark. love!
love vampire knight!! its one of my favourite mangas. the plot is interesting and compelling and the characters are very likable and have sufficient depth to keep you interested. i really like how the characters are drawn and the layouts and just the art in general i guess. this is a definite must for all shoujo lovers AND it has vampires, what more could you want? this is the series that will turn you into a screaming fan girl... not something we would hope for, granted, but in this case i think we can give the fan girls a bit of credit.
Great story!
Vampire Knight keeps getting better and better as they release more volumes! It's about this girl Yuki Cross who has no memory at all, only this one, that it's about Kaname saving her. She then it's adopted by the chairman and meets Zero, it seems that kaname and zero are in love with yuki? But... Kaname is a vampire and Yuki... a human? What about Zero?
awesome
this manga is totally addictive and awesome. it has drama, action, comedy, and is sensual and innocent at the same time. i have reread my 5 volumes many times and never get sick of the great drawings and the characters are always true to how they are. i love yuki, she is so spunky and loyal.
