Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $4.13 Overhyped? Not at all. Cloverfield is the Mist (2007) without a brain. It can be a fun thrill ride after one accustoms to hyperactive camera movements. A note to the producers: a sequel may not be a good idea. 9/10

Buy new: $17.99 Featuring the most graphic depiction of cannibalism in recent cinema, Doomsday pays homages to 80s sci fi cult classics most notably "Escape from New York" and "Road Warrior." This should have been the second half of last years Grindhouse, in place of the excessively talky "Death Proof." Expect a sequel or prequel to fill in some plot holes. 9/10

Buy new: $22.99 Here is a high school kickboxing movie, instead of HS cheerleading, or HS dancing, HS football or a milllion and one HS date movies. NBD is not a high concept film, nor it pretends to be. The action is brutal, hence rewarding. 9/10

Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $7.18 27 is a delightful chick flick. i was surprised at how much i enjoyed this. Give it a try even if you are not a fan of romantic comedy. 9/10
