WOW!!! If you haven't read this yet, you simply must, and immediately! Though I highly recommend clearing your calendar first, because you won't put it down! Same goes for the sequel. When you're done reading both of them, go to Stephenie Meyer's website and read the chapters that she had to edit out.

This is one of those stories that you can finish, but it sticks with you forever. If you can, listen to the CD. Kim Mai Guest reads it, and does an incredible job with the tone of the story.

I really enjoyed these books. Ann Brashares didn't try to make light of the very real growing pains that these charcters go through.

I find Meg Cabot books a fun, light read that get me surprisingly emotionally involved.

I love this series! I think that part of it is that it's set where Cabot grew up, so it feels real. And Jess is a fabulous character.

A very satisfying and long awaited conclusion to the series.

This story of a boy who loves dressage and a girl who needs a real friend more than her riding lessons. This author gets things just right. There is just enough of everything in it. Enough humor, enough sadness, enough awkwardness, and enough one-liners. The author captures the confusion of emerging sexuality without over dramatizing it.
