The big breakthrough, and it's easy to see why. You may have heard it hasn't aged well except for the title track and "Thunder Road." If so, you heard wrong. There's not an ounce of fat in this wall of sound.

Is it too soon to rank one of the most recent albums so highly? Well, no. It really is that excellent, and I am confident that such will still be the case 30 years from now. Probably the most unique outing yet for an artist whose catalog is more diverse than a lot of people think.

Probably 80% of what's here was worthy of a spot on any of his classic albums if there were room for them. Worth every penny.

The first time he combined the rocker with the trubadour in one setting, and still the best such effort. Probably his best rock album (as opposed to the folk ones) since The River.

Overexposed, but excellent. Odds are you know most of the songs. If you like the ones you do know, you'll like the ones you don't, trust me.

Not for everybody, but if you liked Nebraska you'll like this. The only real shortcoming is that his whispery vocals make some of the story-songs hard to understand.

Features some great deep cuts you won't find live elsewhere, and the original "41 Shots" is brilliant. But the scorching rendition of "Born to Run" is its finest moment.

Although this is just a much-too-small taste of what's available, it does include the absolutely essential "This Hard Land" at a much smaller price tag than the box-set.

Interesting takes on some of the classics, but not always especially good ones.

Not bad, but the full Tracks set is worth getting instead. This does feature one recording not available on the box set, but it's a re-recording of a song that is there.
