Hard working tool
After looking at all the reviews on this product, some negative, others positive, I looked at the record of the company and knew that they make a quality product. I received the product and started using it right away. I have another lopper of another cheap brand, which is a piece of junk, but this lopper is great. I have had to use some muscles that were out of shape from winter, but the ability to cut branches 1 1/2" are a piece of cake. They work wonderfully. The geared head keeps the lopper steady as it easily cuts through the wood. It is a strong, well made tool that I anticipate using for a long time to come. I have come to the conclusion that you really do get what you pay for. If you want a tool that will last and do the job it is supposed to do, the cost will soon be forgotten, especially with the ease of its use. It is an awesome tool!

Just what I wanted!!!!
I have bought several long handled branch trimmers from Lowes and Home Depot. Some I returned as they did not live up to the hype. These Fiskars are the "cats whiskers". I have cut up branches from dead eucalyptus trees that would snap the blades on other cutters. After 2 days I love these cutters. My wife is able to trim large branches from our citrus trees. Highly recommend.

Excellent for heavy pruning
This really attacks the thicker branches. I have not tried it, but it seems it could cut a good-sized broom stick in half. The extra length allows you to reach things you can't with other pruners. Mainly, though, it gives a nice, clean cut with a minimum of effort.
