very complicated hard sci fi. lots going on and well written. leaves you hanging at end however.

Second in series. concentrates on the softwares that run the show in this universe.

Last in series. Kind of Revelation and Apocalyspe all in one. Who is the Messiah. I am not sure but loved reading it.

Mad Max combined with the corporate world. Easy to read for a man but the female in our group did not enjoy it.

second Kovacs novel. Still violent but so unique it still has punch.

It's a world with dominant female rule. Female gunslingers. It is a spy story with a computer software as the trump card. Male/female roles and sterotypes explored.

More angel . it is not so good to be the Archangel. lots of responsibility. God is a spaceship.

We all like Dresden so decided to read the latest. Vampire war and the obligatory big shoot out scene at the end. Dresden is kind of the bore he always seemed to revile in the first books.

Another totally unique dilema from the mind of rob sawyer. What do you do when,because you are dieing, you have had you conciousness transfered to an android body...it will never die,and then discover you are no longer terminally ill.The real interest in this book is from the way humans react to this new life form.

This is the book we are reading currently. Scientists screw around with space/time and result in a time quake. We see 20 years into the future and all heck breaks loose. What would you do if you got a glimpse of your life 20 years in the future.

We go back to mars. Seems the hero just knows there is a past civilization to find evidence of there.

Why not Jupiter. Well for one no soild ground. but our intrepid astronauts manage adventure and spy intrigue . a good book.

HOLY SMOKE, what a disturbing book. A priest returns from first alien contact so screwed up he cannot even talk about it. the fascinating and terrifying story unfolds masterfully. This book left me scared to death. I felt a little dirty too.

Eon is a giant space ship that comes to earth,i think,and threatens to destroy it. Very interesting premise. this is one of several books in this series. we only read this one but it made sense as a stand alone book. I mean this is some huge almost planet sized ship.

Hard sic fi but kind of a punky future. lots of meaningless sex but the story is about a quantum drive space ship. three story lines going. the ending reminded me of the last star trek tng episode "all good things". Kind of a Q type ending.

we heard travis talk about science in science fiction and since that time i find it hard to separate him from his fiction. seems every hero in his books is,well...kind of just like him. He is not only an insightful genius in physics but a super athelete,karate expert, chick magnet, and has time on the side to save the world and invent warp drive. Just a little unbelieveble to me.

an old sci fi dectective book. the world is 1984 in the worst way. Kind of dated but drake is and excellent writer so enjoyable. Drake stopped writing Lacey stories because too depressing.

In the world of "Runner", technology has decayed to the point that man cannot even repair the ageing technology it uses ,much less invent new tech.A Runner is employed to deliver a young monk to a nearby planet to see if he is the reincarnated leader of "The Way".the rest of the book takes them on an adventure in this world.characters and events make for an entertaining read.

Clever,clever story. reverse ageing process and a meeting with aliens. Makes you consider the ramifications of age reversal....I want a rollback!
