Here’s one that is convenient and handy enough for quick reference on the water. This bestselling guide includes the full text of the original rules, and Charlie Wing’s clear, rule-by-rule translations make them easy to follow. It also includes a "One-Minute Guide Decision Tree" and a brief overview of the rules’ intent to give you a good idea of what to do in any common situation.

Customer Reviews

One Minute Guide 5
The OMG is a required text in the United States Power Squadron's Seamanship class. It was chosen because it provides a clear and concise description of the COLREGS (Regulations for avoiding collisions at sea). Every boater should have a copy, read it, and read every couple of years thereafter.

Well Written5
This is a well written guide to the "Rules of the Road. The book not only gives you the rules as written, but explains them in a narrative way and also provides pictures to help better understand the rule being discussed. This book also satisfies the requirement for vessels over 12 meters in length to carry a copy of the Rules on board. It's a great teaching aid and every boater should take the time to learn the "Rules of the Road", this book makes it painless.
