Another fun diversionary tactic from King, although it takes an insane man to make the sunny state of Florida scary (unless you're talking politics).

This is one wacky, weird, messed up road trip of a novel. If you like 'em fast and fierce look no further.

Something is wrong with Bentley Little, in a good way. This is one sick little story. It kinda stumbles at the end, but it was fun up to the letdown. You should have read him by now(just skip The Town).

A virulent outbreak of madness and decay that may just be the beginning of the end leads to some pretty gruesome events in Ms. Langan's Bram Stoker Award winning novel (Best Novel, 2007). A great Horror read.

A very nice, very bloody, very off the wall ending to Mr. Maberry's Pine Deep trilogy. An extremely satisfying Horror read.

Pretty good, what it lacks in character development it more than makes up for in scares and deliberate borrowing from the Providence Master. A worthy read, especially in the month of May if you happen to be in New England.

This is one helluva Horror novel, and helps to reaffirm Keene as an indisputable talent in the field (I thought Ghoul was a little bit of a stumble). Here the Horror starts out funny and ends undeniably nasty and heart wrenching. Plus, Keene gets props for not only referencing Machen, but Wellman as well (Silver John!).

Well, this is really two novellas packaged as a single novel. We get the title story and then a bonus novella called Conscience. Of the two, The Long Last Call is better. It's visceral, it's violent, it's completely over the top. And it's cinematic. Of course it'll never be a movie, too much sex. But it was a fun read. Conscience is good, until the end.

I'm on the fence here. This was a compelling read, (in that I was compelled to keep reading), but it feels like not only a cop-out, but a retread as well. It's very similar territory to The Association. This guy has written better books.

Holy monkeys is this an awesome book! Not the typical, gruesome, in your face Ketchum, but a kinder, gentler Ketchum. This needs to be read by every dog lover (like Call of the Wild, White Fang, Old Yeller, Sounder, and Where the Red Fern Grows). It's that good. Frank Darabont should direct this movie.

This is a prime example of why I frequent used book stores. A true treasure of a find. It's basically werewolf vs. German shepherd, but it's awesome. The basis for the pretty good movie Bad Moon. Hunt this book down!

I actually liked this one. Halloween themed books only work if they're good and scary and this one definitely delivers.

Twisted, realistic, perverse (and that's just the author). Ketchum writes with an extremely audacious outlook on the everyday. A must read novella of unconscionable revenge. A certain SK put it on his top ten list of books read in '08. I heartily agree.
