Product Description

Grace. It s a word we all love to hear, but do we really know what it means? Without it, our lives are dry and dusty, but when grace comes, it transforms our lives into something rich and beautiful. With remarkable insight gleaned from his own life, Pastor Chuck Smith unfolds the mystery of grace and reveals the surprising truth: We can never grow in grace by our own efforts. True grace flows from the heart of the Father through the love of Jesus Christ. To know that God is for you, and that He loves you, is the greatest source of security you will ever know. That is grace and that is what makes life worth living.

About the Author
Author bio In 1965 Pastor Chuck Smith started his ministry at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Beginning with a mere 25 people, he saw God bless his simple, yet consistent style of teaching straight through the Bible. Today Calvary Chapel draws over 20,000 attendees weekly. With a genuine heart for the lost, Pastor Chuck made room in his ministry for a generation of hippies, surfers, and drug addicts. This generated a stirring of the Holy Spirit which spread from the California coast to the Atlantic and beyond. This movement was instrumental in bringing thousands of young people to Jesus Christ during the 60s and 70s in what was known as the Jesus People Movement. As God expanded his ministry, Pastor Chuck s visionary leadership saw the birth of other ministries such as: The Word for Today, a publishing/radio broadcasting ministry which is heard worldwide; Calvary Distribution, a wholesale Christian book and resource distributor; and Calvary Chapel Outreach Fellowship, an international organization with over 1,500 Calvary Chapels participating. A noted speaker and the author of over 25 books, Pastor Chuck can be heard daily on television, radio, and webcasts throughout the world Chuck Smith is the senior pastor at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California, and has been a Bible teacher for more than sixty years. His Bible studies can be heard weekdays on the worldwide radio program, The Word For Today.

Hope is why we survive, where do we find hope?5
The world today can be a very dismal quagmire of lost dreams, well meaning decisions gone wrong, hurt and disaster, but through all this there is hope. Chuck Smith is the senior pastor at the 30,000 member congregation at Calvary Chapel, in Costa Mesa, California. From this church have grown over 1,000 affiliated churches throughout the world, with membership of over 1,000,000. In his book, "Why Grace Changes Everything," Chuck describes , in his typical down to earth approach, the unmerited gift of God to all who ask, called "Grace." Grace is defined (Biblically) in easily understood terms, and how it applies to each of us, with staight forward explanations. The benefits of "Grace" are incredible, but as Chuck explains, it is free and readily available, yet very misunderstood. This book is easy reading, over a cup of coffee with friends, next to a fire place on a rainy day, or on your lunch hour (the respite from a hectic day). It reveals something needed by all, but does not require a Mastercard or Visa. It can be read by teens, with peer pressures, married couples on the brink of divorce, men and women in the twilight of their lives, it will bring hope and contentment to all. There is someone who loves us and cares for us, inspite of what we do, inspite of who or what we are, and He has a gift for you and me, it's free, it's "Grace." The best, and most needful reading experience you can have, "Why Grace Changes Everything," By Chuck Smith.

Excellent eye opener on the subject of grace.5
I have been in counseling for a few months because of struggling with past hurts. I borrowed this book from a friend and it came at just the right time. I was amazed that God loved me unconditionally. I had always been taught that if you "lived right" the Lord would love you. Amazingly enough He loves me even when I mess up. I am very disappointed that the book is out of print. I wanted my very own copy.

One of My Favorite Christian Books5
I recently purchased 3 copies of this book to give to friends as it is one of my favorites. I plan to buy more and have read my hardbound copy many times. Pastor Smith has a very readable writing style that is not pedantic at all. He explains his own struggles with legalism before he came into a full understanding of God's grace. It is Biblically-based and easy to understand. A good introduction to Christianity for your nonbelieving friends; one of my nonChristian friends read the entire book.

What I particularly love about this book is how it speaks to your heart. This is not a religious tome, but one man speaking to you about God's love and grace. However, he represents the full personality of God, for a person cannot comprehend God's great mercy without understanding our need for redemption.

We should always pray before reading spiritual messages, but if you believe you are struggling with legalism, this book will help free you.
