Carafe is fine but fragile!
I typically heat milk in the carafe in a microwave oven before frothing it. I have now had two of these carafes break while frothing after heating in the microwave!

Great frother enhances the look and taste of your coffee!
I've been using these frothers for about 15 years and couldn't live without them. Better than steamed milk in your cappucino! The only downside is that they break easily, and so I have needed several replacements.

neccessary replacement for fragile carafe
I bought three replacement carafes this time because I'm hoping maybe this will last me a couple of years now. I bought my original Bonjour Frother a few years ago and I've gone through so many of these glass carafe replacement parts it's ridiculous. I've complained to the manufacturer that the glass is too thin...then again, how will they sell so many replacement parts if they make them more durable? Planned obsolescence at work again. These are too skinny and you must be extremely careful with them- but you can't do without them, so you're stuck.
