Product Description

Many power carvers, particularly bird and fish carvers, regard Tupelo as the best of the carving woods for that type of work. It is light in color, light weight, easy to carve yet holds detail very well. It also accepts detail burning very well. This quality of Tupelo is not easy to find. Our supplier provides prime Tupelo carving wood which is selectively cut and kiln dried. Our practice block is 1 1/2" square by 10" long and sold individually.

A bit small4
These blocks are fine for practicing with my new chisels (which is why I bought them), but they are so narrow that I feel I cannot practice some of what I would have liked. They are what was advertised, however.
