Product Description

A celebrity fashion designer gives every woman the red-carpet treatment in this foolproof guide to choosing clothes that make you look fabulous—with tailor-made tips for forty- eight body types.

From Oprah to Eva Longoria, top L.A. designer Bradley Bayou has dressed women of all shapes and sizes and knows that every woman has her own natural combination of silhouette shape, height, and weight. Style is not about fitting into the size you think is sexy, it is about picking clothes that fit your body correctly and that create balance.

In The Science of Sexy, Bayou helps readers identify their silhouette shape (triangle, inverted triangle, rectangle, or hourglass) and combines that information with a height/weight chart to determine which of the forty-eight “fitting rooms” to go to in the book. Each fitting room has Bradley’s specific advice on the clothes and accessories to wear and avoid, and how to create balance using color, scale, proportions, and fabric.

Expected more for the money3
Being a plus-size, I have read several books on how to dress my figure. This is the first book I've seen that addresses height, weight, and body shape all at the same time. Which is GREAT! And the book has given me ideas on new things to try that I wouldn't have otherwise considered... However, I was looking for a little more substance to the rest of the book. Do's and Don'ts lists of accessorizing, shoes, quality vs. quantity, etc. just didn't quite cut it for me. Eighteen dollars for a book where only 30 pages of it applies to me (including the four about dressing for my body type) doesn't provide me with the bang I was expecting for my buck. You'd be better off borrowing the book at the library and photocopying the pages applying to you.

Science?2
The book has great word-of-mouth, but unfortunately there is very little in usable material. Only about four pages are actually devoted to my shape and body type, so I felt ripped off having to purchase the entire book.

A Must-Have for Every Woman!5
I bought this book for my 18 year-old niece so that she could see that every woman can look and feel sexy and beautiful. I liked it so much that I ordered another one for myself and have already recommended it to many friends.

Bradley Bayou looks at women through realistic eyes with impeccable balance. He gives serious advice but retains a sense of humor. I applaud him for seeing the beauty in all female body types. We need to promote this ideaology so that women of all shapes and sizes can feel sexy by making the most of what they have and who they are.

A MUST-have!
