| Has the Man Booker lost a bit of it's allure? It certainly seems to be more publicity machine than substance these days. As for this year's shocking Best of Booker process, please. The now ritual annual publicity stunt, where a seemingly pre-ordained judging panel member attacks somebody or something, this year it was 'pouncy academic' literary judges, just to get a bit of extra PR Mileage, too sad to contemplate. Still, it's one of the biggies and we all like our two-cents worth. The winners from the last few years have not bedazzled- maybe this years winner, White Tiger, will set thing right. | ||
