Good educational book
Lots of reading! This book is easy to read in plain English.. For new bees in the healthcare business it's very helpful.
Ann Peden's book
I have used Ms. Peden's textbook in several of my classes. I use it because it prepares my students for medical record work in all healthcare settings. They need to know how records are managed and what the laws, regulations and standards are in healthcare settings other than hospitals. I highly recommend it for any HIT or HIA instructor. It is easy to read and well organized.
