An unusual note from the Editor

It is not often that an editor feels compelled to add a note to an author's book. But by the time you are through reading this, I hope you will understand why I felt that, on this particular occasion, it was not only important to do so, but possibly even essential to your understanding and enjoyment of this book.

As someone who has spent their entire career working in the media as a journalist, magazine editor, publishing consultant and the author of six books of my own, I've naturally encountered many challenges over the years. In all honesty, however, I have to say that nothing in my career thus far has been as challenging and frustrating, or indeed as truly bizarre, as editing this book.

Given my background, it may not surprise you to learn that I am somewhat of a 'stickler' for clarity, punctuation and good grammar. Imagine my surprise, therefore, when, over and over again, I found that many of the text cuts, edits, corrections in grammar, punctuation and syntax, as well as several of my own attempts to clarify some of the information in the channels, kept disappearing from my computer. At first I dismissed this as a simple, stupid failure on my own part to hit the "save" button. The second time I began to wonder whether there was a technical malfunction. But when it kept on happening, often with the very same passages I had been 'clarifying', I started to wonder whether there might be another explanation…

When I voiced my concerns to Steve, he fell about laughing. For, of course, Steve understood something that I, in my enthusiasm to do a "proper, professional editing job", had failed to consider. The information in this book had come from the Group. Thus, what was more natural than that they should be hovering over my shoulder, approving - or not, as the case clearly proved often to be - the changes I was making?

To say that I was totally flabbergasted by their involvement is an understatement. After all, an editor's job is to guide his or her author, to help them clarify what is unclear, to tidy up their work by showing them where they may have repeated themselves, to edit extraneous passages… and so on and so forth. Fortunately, Steve was always very amenable and co-operative when it came to being 'guided' by his 'editor', but clearly the same could not be said of the Group.

The lesson I learned from this is that it is one thing to guide an earth-bound, in-the-flesh, human author, such as Steve. It is quite another thing to deal with a group of non-corporeal, higher entities whose sole purpose is to guide, rather than be guided. Steve says that the Group has a wonderful sense of humor. All I can say is, they must have been clutching their sides and falling off their heavenly chairs in mirth at my earnest, but woefully naïve, attempts to 'tidy up' their communications! So if this book leaves you wondering why the Group often present the same piece of information in different ways; why they often repeat themselves three times, or even why they construct their sentences in such a labyrinthine fashion, take it from me, these are no accidents. Indeed there is a definite purpose to their unique method of communication.

It took me a long time to understand it, but I now fully accept that it matters not whether the Group speak in a manner to which we are accustomed, or even whether we comprehend their words on a conscious "human" level or not. What matters is that they are planting "seeds" in our biology as well as our "unconscious." This is the purpose of their communications; it is their way of helping us to re-member.

Given the many frustrations I encountered throughout the editing process, I cannot truthfully say that I have enjoyed editing this book. But, of course, that's only the "professional me" talking. Speaking on a purely personal (and, of course, spiritual) level, I wouldn't have missed this opportunity for the world.

I feel immensely privileged and honored to have been offered thisopportunity to be challenged, frustrated, bemused, but ultimately illuminated by such a close encounter with these loving messengers from Home.

Thank you, Steve, and thank you, the Group, for blessing me with this task, and for helping me to discover this part of my contract.

If you would have told me five years ago that I would one day be traveling around the world talking to entities from the other side of the veil I would have called you crazy. This was simply not one of the possibilities that could have entered my world back then. Today things are quite different. It's as if I was only playing the part of a contractor up to a certain time and then I began to do what I really came here for. All of my life I envied people who had jobs that they loved. All I wanted was a job where I could not wait to get up in the morning. Guess what…I have it. Now I get to help other people find what they came here for.

The hardest part of this work is explaining to people what I do. This always comes up on airplanes where there are usually three seats across. My partner and the love of my life Barbara, loves to talk to people and it's not long before I hear them ask "what kind of empowerment seminars do you do?" This is when I look them straight in the eye and say: "I'm a channel and receive information from the other side. Our seminars are based on that information." Ok, so now they may look at me a little different. I can't really blame them I would not have believed it five years ago myself.

The interesting part to me is how we get to cross traditional lines with this information. It's one thing to do a channeling for a gathering of metaphysical people, but when we present this information to corporations and to gatherings like we have at the United Nations it is quite another. I like to call myself the grounded channel. The truth is that all this information is really interesting, but if we can't use it in our daily lives to improve our quality of life then it's really useless.

The book Re-member is the first in a series of books from the Group about practical tools for living in the higher vibrations of the new planet Earth. I can't tell you how honored I am to be carrying this message.

Affirming and positive info to make your journey easier

I just love this book. I re-read parts of it every time I need some spiritual nurturing. It is organized into 18 chapters on a miriad of topics, such as: tools for walking with spirit, synchronicity, the flow of universal energy, remembering the other side of the veil, and most memorably, the evolution of humanity. Each chapter is subdivided into topics as well, which makes it easy to read in short bursts if you are inclined.

The information is channelled through the author during some fairly prestigious speaking engagements, some in front of the United Nations. The amount of love pouring through from the beings that are being channelled (The Group) is enormous, and the sincerity is obvious. The information is very up-to-date and was mostly new to me, not simply re-hashing of other spiritual authors' works.

I can sincerely say that you will not be disappointed with this book, and I say this after reading 50+ spiritual books, including the classics as well as metaphysical and new age/new thought.

Not a 'channeling' fan, But...
Sometimes the day to day grind saps my energy making me a bit cynical and jaded about 'spiritual' matters. Reading spiritually oriented books always helps me maintain a more balanced perspective. For whatever reason, this book was just what the Dr. ordered for my latest bout with spiritual malaise. To be frank, I don't know what to think about 'channeling'. I believe Mr. Rother is sincere and presents a very positive and uplifting take on the current state of the world. He offers a refreshing perspective, and builds a strong case that in the midst of all the trouble and tragedy of modern times there is something of much greater significance going on. That all of humanity is playing it's role (quite admirably it seems) in bringing more light into the dense physical world.
We all like to think that our lives have some greater meaning and purpose and 'The Group' affirms that this is so. Through our lives, and on our planet, cosmic purposes are unfolding toward the dawning of a new day. It seems we are the cutting edge of evolution. As I neared the end of the book, I found myself feeling inspired, that life is indeed good, and worth all the trouble. It does no harm to believe that humanity's struggle toward greater understanding has repercussions far beyond what is apparent to us in our everyday lives. Is it true? I don't know. But I felt different having read it. I'm all for anything that brings a little more light into the world. Thanks Dan.

Lightworkers take note!
This book is right on target for lightworkers out there who are just awakening to their future roles on earth. Very uselful, and IMO LEGIT info!
Definately worth a read!
It also provides more insite on where the world is headed in the next decade. VERY up to date.
This book goes right to the top of my list of metaphysical books I recomment to friends. Other favorites - B. Weiss, N. Walsh, D. Virtue, J. Redfield, and A. Villoldo.
