Very pleased
I got these at Bestbuy for $99 after a comparison with other brands that were all more expensive. This system stood the test very well unless you need booming hard rock bass. I use them for theater speakers from my tv set and also have them connected to my DVD player which makes that into a very compact home stereo if I just want to play cd's. Consquently I'm getting rid of my two 12" speaker enclosures and the bulky amp setup.
I would rate them five stars except there is no off switch on the volume control nor an LED light to show when the power is on. Perhaps they turn off when the volume is all the way down, but there is no click or other indication. They are almost too good to waste on a computer unless you watch a lot of movies on it or play games at high volume. They live up to the Bose name.
Thank you for the music!
Love these speakers. Their sound is very good.....not necessarily surround sound, but good for a computer. They are a little large and I had trouble trying to find where to place them....but maybe that is me. I'm still happy that I got them. And factory=renewed is as good as new!

I am using these on a mac iBook G4 12". For me they are perfect. I have a Bose 3.2.1 DVD Player on my TV and a Bose Wave radio in the bedroom, and Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Speakers (WOW) on my mac mini desktop Computer. For the small size, compact enough to carry with the laptop speakers, these are perfect for the task. Better than I had expected, and truly unfair to compare to a system with a Sub. At moderate volumes using the built in EQ from Apple Leopard, and that is what these speakers are for,+ the refurbished $59 cost with free shipping from Bose thru Amazon I find it hard to top in this range.
