Product Description

EXPOSURE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS is centered around one earth-shattering week in the life of New Orleans Police Lieutenant, Grieco Storm. A police detective whose passions and convictions run as deep and sizzling as the sultry city he is bound by duty and honor to protect. The discovery of arsenic found in the blood-systems of two International Super Models, Johna Bauer and Ursula Rhee; initially ruled accidental prescription drug overdoses by the city's shady coroner, is what initiated a secret branch of the Justice Department to get involved. Not only was the State of Louisiana suddenly faced with the very real possibility of a serial killer being on the loose in their Historical City, but it was suddenly faced with a potential scandal of such magnitude that it could rock New Orleans back several decades, politically, on its ear!

Customer Reviews

Embarrassing, really1
To call this wildly expensive, self-published book mediocre is to pay it a glowing tribute it doesn't deserve. If someone is going to go to a vanity press to get their work published, wouldn't you think they'd spend a few extra shekels on an editor to make sure it's actually readable? Apparently, this author either ran out of money or didn't think using correct words, or correct spellings, or correct sentence structure, or correct syntax was an important part of writing a book. Go figure...

She is, in my opinion, a random word generator.

For example, in the first few pages of this unedited, un-proofed drivel, the word "furry" is twice spelled as "fury." Since this description pertains to a cat, it's hard to imagine how they missed this. Basic sentence structures are distorted beyond all recognition as discernable English. It really was painful to try and read this. (I only did so because I received this trash as a gift. After about 30 pages I gave up - the childish inadequacy of the writing made my teeth hurt.)

Other reviewers are either members of the same writers club who want desperately to support and indulge one another's delusions of competence, or they are close family members who don't have the heart to speak anything even passing within the same galaxy as the truth. I don't wish to be unkind, but for this trash to be sold at this price and for people to actually suggest it is well written is nothing short of a scam. Run, don't walk, away from this one...

Her Best Yet !5
I am a Lambert series fan and Victoria Taylor Murray is one of several authors I thoroughly enjoy reading. Her romantic suspenses are exceptionally well written; this genre is clearly her forte. Her choice for the locale of her latest work, New Orleans, is superb since the city and its historic ambiance lends itself beautifully to the inherent mystic. There is definitely something alluring about the often misrepresented world of glamorous supermodels, and the added aspect of the international flare renders any story engulfing them all the more tantalizing. Victoria has certainly done it again in providing her faithfull readers with measured tension and page-turning excitement. This may well be regarded as her best effort to date.

LIKE A FINE WINE ... this author just gets better with time. 5
I feel fortunate to have received an ARC (advance reading copy) of this novel from the author, and I'm grateful to be one of the first to read it. I'll certainly sing its praises to all my friends.

I've been a huge fan of Victoria Taylor Murray since her exciting Lambert series came out and have followed her writing career with interest. All books except one are romantic suspenses, with the exception being a cookbook she wrote with her brother who is a renowned chef, and it's excellent too, especially since the recipes are interlaced with charming family anecdotes.

Now with this latest book, Exposure Behind Closed Door, VTM returns to romantic suspense with a vengeance. The story revolves around one exciting week in the life of New Orleans Police Lieutenant, Grieco Storm. The action starts when he's assigned to keep a beautiful supermodel under surveillance. Two international supermodels have died under mysterious circumstances, and a secret branch of the Justice Department gets involved due to political overtones that could have disastrous results for the State of Louisiana.

And just why does the Justice Department get involved? What secrets could the models have discovered? Were they sleeping with the wrong powerful men? Is there a serial killer on the loose ... or are the murders one big cover-up for something more sinister?

To find the answers to those questions, you'll have to RFY (read for yourself) as I certainly won't spoil this excellent plot for you.

All I can say is that this popular author has written a real thriller that's an exciting page-turner you will not want to miss. There's the usual touch of erotica as in most of VTM's books, something most of her fans have come to enjoy and expect.

The plot twists are exciting and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time; I hated to put this book down long enough to sleep, and I finished it in two sessions. The story moves quickly and keeps one guessing until the very last page, which is always a plus for me. The characters are sympathetic and well-drawn, and from a woman's point of view, Lieutenant Greico Storm is my kind of hero.

Like a fine wine, Victoria Taylor Murray just gets better with time! This may well be her best book yet.
