Amazon.com Product Description
Breitling honors its heritage with this updated version of its classic timepiece, the Navitimer. The Navitimer World is the largest timepiece produced by Breitling. With its 46 mm diameter case, it is a full 10% larger than the original Navitimer, yet it is designed to fit comfortably on the wrist. The round polished steel case is showcased on an integrated steel bracelet and features a screwdown caseback engraved with the timezones of the world's great cities. The large black dial offers luminescent hands and markers, three monochrome subdials, and a date display. A notable feature of this watch is the highly readable dedicated second time zone hand, which indicates the time elsewhere around the globe in the 24-hour time mode. The dial is capped with a scratch-resistant glare-proof sapphire crystal and framed by Breitling's emblematic circular slide rule bezel. Powered by chronometer-certified caliber 24 automatic movement, this watch offers 1/4 second, 30 minutes, and 12 hours chronograph functions. A sophisticated aviation chronograph with a notable history, the Navitimer World is a handsome addition to any watch collection.
About Breitling

Continuing to innovate for professional flyers, in the mid-1990s Breitling introduced the Emergency, which features a built-in microtransmitter that broadcasts on the 121.5 MHz aircraft emergency frequency. This is used as a backup to airborne beacons, and its signal can be picked up within a range of up to 90 nautical miles. The Emergency has been put to the test on several occasions, most famously in rescuing two British pilots who crashed their helicopter in Antarctica.
Breitling has also been at the forefront in advancing the mechanics of the chronograph timepiece. In 1923, it was the first watch manufacturer to introduce an independent push piece for the chronograph, enabling the start and return-to-zero function (previously performed by the winding-crown). Then in 1934, Breitling added a second push piece to the chronograph enabling either cumulative or incremental time recording.
