Product Description

I wish for this book to catapult you out of bed and smack into the center of one of your dreams, or lure you back to bed, where you will lie helplessly laughing at all your mistakes and frozen moments.

I wish for this book to free the part of your soul that longs to write epic novels, recite Yeats by heart, play a musical instrument by magic, or perform in a play about your life that you create and design. Most of all, I want this book to give you a boost up over the fence that prevents you from moving forward and inward.

SARK encourages living in Technicolor5
SARK's prose reads almost like poetry, as she scrawles in her own colorful handwriting phrases and beliefs that enlighten and guide the reader with a new sense of delight and energy for living. This book is a sort of sequel to "Succulent Wild Women," which first encouraged women (mainly) to be true to themselves and begin living more in the present with a sense of a good self-centeredness. "Bodacious" starts the reader on the way to living better and truer, to thriving in this world where women's self-esteem is sabotaged in tiny ways daily and 51% of the world's population walk around subject to the standards of the double standards of the other 49%. But there is no man-bashing here. Rather, there is a lot of "up with women" vibes and even support for the men strong enough to be weak and allow women to be human. SARK's vibes and wacky ideas, combined with little notes in the margin saying "you are so loved" makes this an inspiring read for any woman ready to stand in the frail light of her own humanity.

Ah, the refreshment of the creative life!5
SARK is amazing. Her books have re-awakened the sleeping creator within--the child who's been surpressed while the adult works 60 hours a week and pursue's a master's degree. Amazingly, I read this book the first day of a vacation I had fought NOT to take (how sick is that) but somehow ended up on instead. Within just a few pages, I was awakened to all the joy and laughter and life I had closeted away in order to be a successful business woman. And at that moment, I knew I could no longer go on living the same hum-drum life.

Thank you SARK for giving us permission to be lazy or paint with our fingers or giggle or nap. Thank you for reminding WHY life is worth living!

Change your life---read ANY of her books!!!

kudos from a SARK rookie5
This was my first experience with SARK, and I was skeptical. I read the book in two nights, in a warm bath, and came out a SARK fan!! She is playful and complex at the same time - there are so many levels to her writing. If you are in the mood for a light read, this is it - in the mood for a deep thoughtful read, this is it! - don't let the childlike look of the book fool you - this woman has a lot to say, but manages to play while she says it - refreshing!
