great toy
All rubbery squirt toys have the issue of the black stuff, there's no avoiding it. We squirt them til empty at the end of every bath. My kids love the net and little fish, as well as the other toys. No problem with paint loss on the net as of yet and we've had it over 2 years.

We LOVE this set!
Although the hippopotamus is my daughters favorite, there isn't a toy here she doesn't like. Highly recommended! We have tons of fun!

worked great for my diaper cake bath theme
I purchased this toy to use on a diaper cake i made for a friend. The cake was a hit. The toys are so colorful and fun. The only issue I have is that the net and the 123 fish have proven not to hold up. I purchased them separate for my son and i found the polka dots on the end of the net faded fast, and the paint actually peeled off the fish and into my baby's mouth, i consequently had to throw the fish away.
