This is a new recording of one of Broadway's best loved musicals. Composed by Claude-Michel Schonberg, Les Misérables features lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and Alain Boublil. There are two versions of each of the 27 songs included. One version has a new cast of singers performing with the background tracks, and a second version has the background tracks alone. This album has four CDs. All songs are in the ORIGINAL key, including "Bring Him Home" and they have the full introductions for the songs "I Dreamed a Dream" and "On My Own". This album makes a great rehearsal tool. This album is in CD not CDG format. There are no on-screen lyrics or lyric booklet provided.

Customer Reviews
But there's not much there...
When I first saw this CD, I thought this would be a dream come true (other than being in the show itself). It was pretty expensive so I figured there was a lot of effort and expense put into creating it. It has pretty much all of the songs from the Broadway Cast recording. This is purely a quantity over quality product. The arrangements and instrumentation are very weak and sound cheap as if most of it was created with a MIDI keyboard (especially with the choppiness of notes being played). There's also no background vocals in any of the chorus numbers. To compare, I own a cassette that was made by The Singing Machine that I purchased about 13 years ago that only has 8 songs from the show on it, but the quality of each song is incredible and very professional (like a full orchestra played it). I believe it is based off of the Original London Cast recording arrangements (which I prefer to the Broadway Cast)since Stars has the slower mystical ending in it. As far as this CD, I sang along with it maybe just a few times, but without the choruses and thin arrangements it felt boring and I'd rather just sing along to the cast recordings.
Les Miz Accompaniment
In my opinion a very ! crappy cd. The accompagnements are lousy, even sometimes flat ! It should not be on sale !
It is suitable to learn the different parts in vocals, but that's it.
The songs in my homestudio sounds better.
Excuse My English, as it is not good.
Please do not buy!
The orchestra on this product sounds like a completely computerized MIDI piece of trash. And, Its not even complete. If find it much better to sing along with the CSR.
