Her combination of rich colors and layering techniques, working various materials such as silk, rayon, and mohair into the felt product, results in one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories for the discerning collector. She resides in Kyoto, Japan.
Customer Reviews
Very good book for those new to felting (my only frame of reference)
I am new to the world of felting and have yet to get my hands wet in it, but wanted a good book to learn thr right way! I think I have found it in this one. The author goes into GREAT detail on everything, including many fascinating historical references.
The projects are well thought out and the step by step directions look like anyone (even me) can follow them and get decent results.
Thank you for the attention to detail! If any of you reading this are wondering about this as a first felting book, I would say get this one AND one of the simpler ones and you should have it made! Happy Felting!
Good book
While this book contains many interesting ideas, I was looking for a knitting felting book. There were no knitted projects; therefore, I returned the item. For someone artistic, this book is full of wonderful options.
Feltmaking and Wool Magic: Contemporary Techniques and Beautiful Projects - Wonderful
I have read many books on felt making - one of my friends lent me this book and I could not wait to purchase my own copy. Its clear, and well written with good illustrations and quite frankly has eradicated the need for me to attend a workshop. This book is a must for ardent felt makers and I feel that anyone no matter their experience or lack of it would benefit from reading this book.
