The first (and best) season of this amazing drama. The murder mystery plot is infused with comedy, love interests, great dialogue and a fantastic father-daughter relationship. This is hands down my favorite season of television ever.

While season three struggled to find its footing on a new network with a new setup, it was still remarkably good. A greater emphasis on the character Dick Casablacas created comedy gold! By the end of the season (and sadly the series) Veronica Mars churned out two of its best episodes ever in "Weevil's Wobble But Never Fall" and "The Bitch is Back."

I have never seen anything this well written and well acted on television before. FNL captures small town life and high school perfectly. Every scene seems real and authentic. I cannot praise the writers enough. The actors deserve accolades as well. I would like to praise in particular the Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton's relationship on the show. The portrayal is flawless.

The first season of this show is gut wrenching. It is a touching drama that may not appeal to those who don't like shows that have you going for your tissues. The acting is superb. Following the journey of the Brown family after the death of their wife/mother is moving and always engaging.
